  32 <H1>3.2 Image Properties Window</H1>
  33 <P>The image properties window is a dialog that displays various
  34 information about a file.</P>
  35 <P>To display a properties window for a an image select Properties
  36 from it's context menu, in most windows pressing Control + P will
  37 display the properties of the selected images or files.</P>

  40 <P>The properties window contains a scaled down image of the file and
  41 information about the file under several tabs. If the window contains
  42 more than one file, they can be navigated by activating the left and
  43 right arrow buttons, or by clicking the primary and middle mouse
  44 buttons on the image preview.</P>

  47 <P><U>Image preview</U></P>
  48 <P STYLE="margin-left: 0.79in">This displays the contents of the
  49 active file. When the window contains more than one file, they can be
  50 navigated with the primary and middle mouse buttons. The image
  51 display is also a drag source for drag and drop, start the drag
  52 operation by pressing the middle mouse button and dragging the file
  53 to the desired target.</P>

  57 <P STYLE="margin-left: 0.79in">This displays information about the
  58 active file. It includes:</P>
  59 <P STYLE="margin-left: 1.58in"><B>File attributes:</B> Modification
  60 date and time, size, owner, group, and permissions.</P>
  61 <P STYLE="margin-left: 1.58in"><B>Image attributes:</B> Dimensions,
  62 uncompressed size, file or mime type, and existence of an alpha
  63 channel.</P>
  64 <P STYLE="margin-left: 1.58in"><B>Compress ratio:</B> The percentage
  65 of file size compared to the size of the image when decoded into
  66 memory.</P>
